Positive Energy Electricity Supply LLC Makes Charitable Donation to FOODSHARE in Connecticut Charity of the Month
September 21, 2011 — Middlebury, CT — Foodshare, a non-profit organization that creates new opportunities for people to help fight hunger in the greater Hartford area, has been chosen by Positive Energy Electricity Supply, LLC as the company's "Charity of the Month" for the month of July. Positive Energy Electricity Supply, LLC made a contribution of $1040.00 to Foodshare.
Foodshare is at the forefront in the Greater Hartford Area's fight against hunger. They bring together individuals and organizations to create effective solutions to end hunger in all 42 towns of Hartford and Tolland counties. Food share's mission states, "Foodshare will work to end hunger as a part of the overall community effort to alleviate poverty in greater Hartford." They do this by 1) Serving as our region's food bank and distributing 16 tons of food each day to a network of 300 local partners that feed our hungry neighbors, 2) Reducing the number of people in need by increasing their self-sufficiency and 3) Engaging members of the greater community to increase their understanding of these real causes and solutions to hunger.
