Positive Energy Electricity Supply LLC Makes Charitable Donation to The Audubon Center At Bent of the River in Connecticut Charity of the Month

October 7, 2011 — Middlebury, CT — The Audubon Center at Bent of the River, a nature center owned and operated by the National Audubon Society in Southbury, has been chosen by Positive Energy Electricity Supply, LLC as the company’s “Charity of the Month” for the month of August. Positive Energy Electricity Supply, LLC made a contribution of $700.00 to the non-profit organization.
The Audubon Center at Bent of the River lies on 660 acres in Southbury, near the historic village of South Britain. Visitors often call it one of the most beautiful places in Connecticut. It is both an inviting outdoor sanctuary where people can connect with nature on 15 miles of walking trails and an environmental education center where students, young and old, can find strong, enlightening programs.
The Bent of the River is an evolving nature center. Donated to Audubon in 1993 by Althea Ward Clark, the Bent was held as a limited access nature sanctuary through 2000. Since that time, Audubon has opened the gates daily from dawn to dusk and introduced many public and school programs, particularly for middle and high school students. The Bent is envisioned as a place for environmental education, research, advocacy, collaboration, and land conservation; as a laboratory and showplace for habitat preservation and restoration practices; and finally as a sanctuary for nature and people. Their mission is simple: Conserve birds, other wildlife, and their habitats by engaging the community and inspiring lifelong appreciation of nature.
Positive Energy President Joe Ventura stated, “By supporting the Audubon Center at the Bent of the River, we are able to do our part in helping preserve these natural habits so that generations to come can continue to enjoy the beauty nature has to offer.”
Positive Energy Electricity Supply, LLC, Connecticut based company founded in February 2009, is a provider of discount electricity and helps residents and businesses save over 15% on the generation portion of their monthly electric bill and is registered with the Connecticut Department of Public Utility Control. It is one of the fastest growing companies in Connecticut and is an accredited member of the Better Business Bureau serving over 110,000 customers in Connecticut.
